Beautifully situated on the peacefull waterways of Marina Da Gama in the Zandvlei bird sanctuary near Muizenburg. 'The Place' is a newly refurbished house offering superb views of the peninsula mountains. This sports themed house provides the perfect base fromn which to explore all that Cape Town has to offer. Whether you are looking to explore the city, Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront and all other well known attractions or your preferenceis for dramatic costal scenery, wild flowers, sandy beaches, high adrenaline activities, great golf, bird and whale watching, fine resteraunts, wineries, trendy beach cafes or just the tranquility of the Vlei Lake then this is the house for you. 'The Place' is regularly visited by various international rugby stars such as James Simpson-Daniel (Gloucester), Charles Simpson-Daniel (Gloucester), Andrew Higgins (Bath) and Rudi Keil (Sale) amongst other sports stars. We currently have a limited availability for the British Lions Tour 2009.
Location -
'The Place' is located on the Zandvlei lake providing a secure peacefull environment with breathtaking scenery. The Zandvlei has been reffered to as a mini Venice where it is not uncommon for the local residents to call in on each other by canoe. It is conveniently located a short drive from Kalk Bay where you can sample fine resteraunts, trawl the local antiques shops or buy fresh fish from the harbour. For the more adventurous it offers the chance to go cage diving and shark spotting. Boulders beach is also only a shirt drive away from the property offering the opportunity to go whale and penguin watching. Cape Point is approximatley 25 minutes drive away and offers the chance to observe the local baboon colony and take in breathtaking scenery from the cable cars. Table Mountain, Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront are all within a 20 minute drive offering great shopping and a multitude of tourist attractions. Muizenburg beach is within walking distance and offers great surfing whilst the Vlei lake location allows swimming, kayaking, fishing, canoeing, and other non motorised water sports.
Bedrooms -
The main bedroom is en-suite with a spacious dressing area which leads through to a large living area furnished with sofa's. This living spavce has access to the balcony which runs the length of the property and can also be accessed from the double doors in the main bedroom. The astonishing views of the surrounding mountains make this a perfect setting for breakfast. All other bedrooms are spacious and recently refurbished with lovely linen, they all have easy access to the 3 shared bathrooms throughout the rest of the property. The two downstairs bedrooms to the rear of the property open out onto the patio area, whilst the further lower floor bedrooms have access to the small courtyard again perfect for meals and bbq's. All bedroom interiors have been tastefully decorated with ample fitted units for storage.
British Lions Tour 2009 -
'The Place' is regularly visited by various international rugby stars as well as other well known sports personalities, we are offering a limited availability for accommodation during the British lions Tour. Our rates include the opportunity to share the accommodation and socialise with a number of international rugby players. Details are also available for our inclusive package which will enable you to accompany our other guests to slected matches during the Lions Tour, this price includes tickets, internal flights and transport unless otherwise stated. There is also the potential for access to the players lounge to meet players and obtain autographs. All further details for this are available upon request include our prices.
